I really love watercolor paints. The loose, spontaneous quality of the medium makes it fun and versatile. Arranging shapes and working with color fascinates me, and I find that the effects that can be achieved with watercolor are endless.
Much of my work is abstract and begins as non-objective explorations of feelings or ideas generated by sensory experiences. Subjects emerge and take form as I paint, however, not always expressed with tangible or recognizable shapes, but rather through subtle suggestion. I fluctuate between various styles and subject matter, something I find necessary to appease my curiosity and artistic interests. In addition to my abstract paintings, I create florals that are more decorative in nature.
